PM Modi Unveils Development Projects in Gujarat

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the famous Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat’s Narmada district, and lay the groundwork for a number of projects and tourism attractions totaling ₹284 crore.

PM Modi is visiting Gujarat for two days and will take part in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations while there. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary is observed on October 31 as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

Modi inaugurated numerous new projects after arriving in Ekta Nagar, some 200 kilometers from Ahmedabad, in the evening, including a sub-district hospital, smart bus stops, a 4 MW solar project, and two ICU-on-wheels.

The Prime Minister inaugurated a 50-bed sub-district hospital, which cost ₹22 crore. According to a state government announcement, the hospital contains a trauma center, gynaecological operating theatre, minor operating theatre, CT scan facility, ICU, labor room, special and physiotherapy wards, a medical store, and an ambulance.

Other facilities inaugurated on the day were ten smart bus stops and as many pick-up stands for tourists in Ekta Nagar, push-button pedestrian crossings, auto charging stations, and a running track for State Reserve Police Force officers.

The Prime Minister inaugurated a 4 MW solar installation for ₹23.26 crore to encourage renewable energy.

Modi laid the groundwork for a ₹ 75-crore sewage treatment plant at Ekta Nagar, which will serve approximately 4,000 houses, government quarters, and hospitality establishments.

In addition, the foundation stones for the Fire Staff Residential Quarters and the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center were placed.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister lay the groundwork for a bonsai garden dedicated to encouraging sustainable development and biodiversity preservation.
