In a tragic incident in Brazil, a 27-year-old woman named Fernanda Valoz Pinto lost her life after consuming a chocolate given to her by a palm reader who had predicted her imminent death.
The incident took place on August 3 in the Maceió area of Brazil, which is known for its abundance of fortune tellers and spiritual practitioners. Fernanda Valoz Pinto was passing through the area when she was approached by an elderly woman who offered to read her palm.
Following the palm reading, the elderly woman delivered a distressing prophecy to Pinto, informing her that she had only a few more days to live. As a parting gift, the palm reader gave Pinto a piece of chocolate. Without suspecting any danger, Pinto accepted the packaged candy and, feeling hungry, decided to eat it.
Tragically, within a few hours of consuming the chocolate, Pinto fell seriously ill and began experiencing severe symptoms, including vomiting and dizziness. She reached out to her family through text messages, describing her deteriorating condition. In her messages, she expressed her distress, stating that her heart was racing and that she felt extremely weak. She also mentioned a bitter taste in her mouth and blurry vision.
Pinto’s messages to her family conveyed her alarming physical state. She shared her near-fainting experience, saying, “I leant on the water tank. I almost fell. I almost met God. I don’t know why I’m like this, sis. I’ve been feeling bad all day. Because I accepted a chocolate in the city center. I ate it. After that, I felt sick.”
This tragic incident serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of vigilance and caution, especially when accepting items from strangers, even in seemingly harmless circumstances.
