What Happened to the Shooter at Trump Rally: Actions on His Final Day

Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Saturday when Thomas Matthew Crooks brandished a weapon during a rally in Pennsylvania at the fore of the Presidential elections.

According to CNN, the 20-year-old Crooks made stops for ammunition. On Friday, he went to a range to practice shooting, and Saturday morning, he went to Home Depot for a five-foot ladder and into a gun store for 50 rounds of ammunition.

For example, reports indicated that Crooks had previously scaled a building with that ladder and had fired shots towards the 78-year-old Republican candidate. Secret Service officials gunned down Crooks as he assaulted Trump. An established timeline has been obtained regarding the sequence of events leading up to the time Crooks began his assailment of the candidate. The motivation behind the attack has not been established yet.

“Officials have searched Crooks’ phone and computer but have not found any evidence yet of political or ideological motivation” for the shooting, according to law enforcement sources.

One person was reportedly injured—Trump himself, who was left with a bloodied face after a bullet grazed “the upper part of right ear” during the Pennsylvania rally.

Earlier reports said that Crooks was a math genius but was holding a low-level gig just a stone’s throw away from where he used to live in Pennsylvania. He attended Bethel Park High School, from where he graduated in 2022; during his time there, he is remembered as a good student and he did not go out much. A school counselor revealed he was polite and further revealed he showed no signs of being politically minded.
