In the video, Annalena Baerbock could be seen descending from the boarding stairs of the aeroplane alone, after her flight landed in China. She looks around and appears confused when she realises that no Chinese officials are there to receive her. The footage has been shared multiple times on X and has already gained thousands of views.

Many users seem to mock the German foreign minister in the comments. While some poke fun at her, others criticise her.

Baerbock’s visit to China
South China Morning Post reported earlier this month, that both Germany and China have ‘plenty to discuss’ on various issues for which Baerbock was expected to visit Beijing this month. This comes amid the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
News agency Xinhua reported that Baerbock earlier met China’s top diplomat Wang Yi in New York during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly to exchange views on both ongoing wars.
