Vinod Kambli, the former batter for the Indian cricket team, expressed gratitude to his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar for his blessings when the former had to be admitted to the hospital due to a deterioration in his health.
In the recent past, Kambli had health problems, and a fan took him to the hospital. Although recent reports indicated that he was improving, medical scans showed clots in his brain. Kambli, who represented India in 17 Test matches and 104 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1993 to 2000, was present at the recent dedication of the memorial for the late coach Ramakant Achrekar at Shivaji Park. He met Sachin during the ceremony, and the two of them had a heartfelt exchange.
“I am feeling better now…I will never leave this (cricket) because I remember the number of centuries and double centuries I have hit…We are three left-handers in the family. I am thankful to Sachin Tendulkar as his blessings have always been with me…,” Kambli told ANI.
