The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the official UPSC IES and ISS 2024 application notification. According to the notice, qualified candidates can apply for UPSC IES, ISS 2024 via the official website at upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in. The deadline for submitting UPSC IES and ISS applications is April 30 at 6 p.m.
The application correction window runs from May 1 to May 7. The UPSC IES, ISS test is slated to begin on June 21 at various examination sites around the country. Before completing the application form, applicants need register on the commission’s website via the One Time Registration (OTR) platform.

UPSC IES/ISS Exam: Eligibility
- Age limit:
To apply for the UPSC IES, ISS 2024, a candidate must be at least 21 years old and no older than 30 on August 1, 2024, meaning that they were born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2003.
- Educational background:
- Indian Economic Services:
To be considered for the Indian Economic Services (IES), candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Economics, Business Economics, Applied Economics, or Econometrics from an accredited university.
• Indian Statistical Service:
An Indian Statistical Service aspirant should have a master’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics from an approved university.
How to Apply for the UPSC IES/ISS Exam
Step 1: Visit the UPSC’s official website, upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Locate and pick the “Online Application for Various Examinations” part.
Step 3: Select “Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination 2024” as your selected exam from the list of options.
Step 4: In the new window, complete the application form as instructed.
Step 5: Upload all required documents and pay the price as specified.
Step 6: Submit your UPSC IES/ISS 2024 application form.
General applicants are expected to pay a fee of Rs 200 either by paying the cash in any State Bank of India branch or by utilizing Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment or by doing Internet banking. Female/SC/ST/People with Benchmark Disability applicants are free from paying exam fees.
