The Uttar Pradesh government’s Social Welfare Department has launched scholarships for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric students for the academic year 2024-2025. The scholarship application has been open since July and will close on December 31.
Interested students who meet the eligibility requirements can complete the online application form by going to the above-mentioned website. Students should be aware that minority backward classes such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis will apply through the Minority Welfare Department’s official website.
The Uttar Pradesh scholarship application process is open to both new applicants and those seeking to renew their scholarship. Shortlisted Pre-Matric and Post-Matric students will be eligible for financial help under this award. The award is also offered to students enrolled in any Sanskrit school in the state.
What is the Renewal Option for the Scholarship?
It is for those students who got the scholarship last academic year but now want to apply again for the academic session 24-25. Even if it is for a fresh or renewal application, students will have to register again using login credentials.
What is the Eligibility Criteria?
The household incomes of a general, OBC, or minority student should be Rs 2 lakh, while SC and ST students should earn Rs 2.5 lakh.
The candidate must have passed the last examination for which he or she enrolled.
A valid caste certificate and an Aadhaar card must be issued to the student by an authorized authority.
What is the Application Process?
There are various stages of the application process registration, Aadhaar authentication, followed by form submission, verification of the institutes through which candidates applied, scrutiny, and verification of the student by the district welfare committee and then funds will be disbursed through Aadaar-based authentication.

- Bank passbook of the account that should be linked with the Aadhaar card
