Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh declared, “India has arrived,” adding, “This is one of the most auspicious times happening in India.”

This year, the International Year of Millets is also being observed; this is the second time such an event has been held at the request of India and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi after the International Day of Yoga. On August 15, we entered the Amrit Kaal after 75 years (of India’s Independence), and this week, just two days ago, Chandrayaan happened,” he said.
According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, the time has come for India to prove that it can not only keep up with other nations but also lead the world.
The two-day 26th National Conference on e-Governance in Indore featured a closing session address by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, as well as the Ministers of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space.
According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, PM Modi has freed India from historical restraints and put it on the path to progress.
“PM Modi opened the Space sector, and today there are more than 150 private Startups,” the speaker claimed.
Dr. Jitendra Singh focused on administrative reforms, noting that PM Modi had started numerous reforms during the last nine years.
The transfer of benefits to the average person through DBT was mentioned by the speaker. “During the Covid period, life came to a standstill, but there was no delay in the Government of India’s administrative machinery, because we had already gone digital while others were just preparing for it,” he remarked.
The Prime Minister gave us the motto “Minimum Government – Maximum Governance,” according to Dr. Jitendra Singh. The DARPG took steps to eliminate malpractices, such as ending the practise of having officers with gazetted positions certify documents. The human interface was kept to a bare minimum in order to increase openness, accountability, and citizen participation. The majority of the functionality was switched to the internet.
According to the Minister, DoPPW introduced the Digital Life Certificate (DLC), and later the Aadhar-based scheme for online DLC submission. Before the introduction of the Face-Authentication Technology-based system based on UIDAI Aadhaar software, DLC filing was first done by biometric devices.
Speaking of openness and accountability in governance, the Minister stated that a strong grievance redressal mechanism serves as the standard for good governance. Because this government adopted a strategy of time-bound redress and won the confidence of the populace, the CPGRAMS now receives about 20 lakh grievances annually as opposed to barely 2 lakhs annually prior.
Dr. Jitendra Singh cited technology-driven improvements for ease of living, including DigiLocker and the SVAMITVA programme that brings openness to land registration.
“Our goal is to gear up and work towards making India a developed nation by 2047, and we will accomplish this with speed and scale, leveraging the potential of digital transformations in e-governance,” he stated.
