On November 21, the University College London (UCL) announced a new scholarship program that would allow 100 of India’s top students to study at one of the world’s premier institutions in the UK.
According to the official announcement, 33 scholarships will be offered for the 2024-25 academic year, and will be granted to excellent students who have, or are on track to get, a first-class degree. A total of 67 scholarships will be given over the next two years.
Prospective Master’s students in any subject can obtain a £5,000 scholarship through the UCL India Excellence Scholarships.
In addition, UCL has announced plans for its inaugural Summer School in India, which will be held on the campus of The British School in New Delhi. The goal of establishing this summer school in Indian is to provide pre-university Indian students with a taste of what it’s like to study at a world-class UK university.
The first UCL India Summer School will take place from June 10 to 14, 2024, with five top UCL academics presenting courses to 50 students in years 10 and 11, working in small groups.
