Alina Habba, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, will join his White House staff and act as the president’s counselor, the president-elect revealed.
“She has been unwavering in her loyalty, and unmatched in her resolve —standing with me through numerous ‘trials,’ battles and countless days in Court,” he said in a statement Sunday.
Habba Madaio & Associates LLP’s managing partner has become a high-profile lawyer for Donald Trump. She has represented him in various legal challenges, including a defamation lawsuit against former contestant Summer Zervos, which was dropped.
Habba also represented Trump when his niece Mary Trump sued him for cheating her out of an inheritance, which was dismissed. Habba also helped Trump sue his niece over her role in providing reporters with his financial documents.
In 2018, Habba made headlines when she quarreled with US District Judge Lewis Kaplan during a civil lawsuit against Trump.
Habba served as a senior adviser for the main super PAC supporting Trump’s 2024 reelection bid, Make America Great Again Inc., and has become a reliable surrogate for the campaign.
