Three Maoists were killed and one police officer was injured after an exchange of fire in Odisha’s Kalahandi district

According to a top official, at least three Maoists were killed and one police officer was injured during a gunfight in a jungle in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Tuesday.

He stated that the incident occurred in the morning during a combing operation.

“Three Maoists were killed, and a DSP rank officer was injured in the exchange of fire,” stated DGP Sunil K Bansal.

According to him, the injured officer was brought to Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Bolangir.

According to the DGP, the combing operation is currently ongoing in the forest areas along the border of Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts.
