Ten People Rescued Safely After Being Trapped in Delhi Nightclub’s Elevator for Nearly Ten Hours

After a difficult operation that lasted for hours, ten persons who had been trapped in the lift of a nightclub in Delhi’s South Extension were safely rescued after nearly ten hours.

According to ANI, the fire department, which carried out a difficult operation, received a call at 6.40 am on Sunday informing them that several club patrons had been trapped in a club’s elevator for more than ten hours.

“South received a fire call regarding ten persons trapped in an elevator coming from the club. New Delhi, south extension metro station, Khanna Jewellers. Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Services, tweeted that the team had returned from the rescue call and had received word that 10 people had been successfully saved from a lift.

The fire service responded to the call right away, sending teams of fire tenders and rescue tenders to the scene. Rescue workers had to break the glass of the building’s window in order to enter and save those inside. The individuals who were locked within the left entered the club for a late-night party, according to the preliminary inquiry into the incident. They initially tried to use the key to access the lift but were unsuccessful.
