In an attempt to combat a steep decline in birth rates and the overall population, Taiwan is enticing women with a variety of incentives to encourage them to have more babies.

By 2035, Taiwan is projected to have the lowest birth rate in the world, with only 140,000 births recorded in 2022.

To address this alarming trend, the Taiwanese government has introduced measures such as subsidies for in-vitro fertilization (IVF), reduced school fees, and the promotion of child-friendly workplaces. These initiatives aim to boost the population and reverse the current demographic decline.
