Swiggy, a popular food delivery website, has added a new feature called Incognito Mode. As the name implies, the new function is intended to provide consumers more privacy while placing food or fast commerce orders.
This new first feature lets customers to keep individual orders off of their order history, which is ideal for situations where discretion is required. Whether it’s a surprise present or a personal pleasure, consumers may now have total privacy without having to manually remove their order information afterward.
Incognito Mode is useful for a variety of situations, especially for those who share accounts with family members or friends. For example, if someone is planning a surprise birthday cake delivery or purchasing a special gift for an anniversary, they can use this feature to ensure their order doesn’t show up in the history for others to see. It’s also handy for discreet purchases, like ordering personal wellness products from Swiggy Instamart. This way, users can keep such orders private without worrying about others viewing their order history.
Currently, the feature is available to 10 per cent of Swiggy users, with plans for a wider rollout in the coming days. Swiggy’s CEO of the Food Marketplace, Rohit Kapoor, said that Incognito Mode addresses a growing need for privacy in today’s social world, allowing users to make purchases without fear of exposing their choices.

We’re excited to offer our users a seamless experience that lets them enjoy Swiggy’s diverse offerings with enhanced privacy.”
How Does It Work?
Activating Incognito Mode on Swiggy is straightforward. Users can enable it through a simple toggle option available in their cart before placing an order. Once the feature is activated, a reminder will pop up, confirming that Incognito Mode is on. After the order is delivered, it remains visible for three hours in case any post-delivery concerns need addressing. After this period, the order is automatically hidden from the user’s order history, ensuring full privacy.
This new feature follows Swiggy’s recent updates aimed at enhancing user experience, such as Group Ordering, Eat lists, Explore Mode, Reordering, and Similar Carts. With Incognito Mode, Swiggy is further ensuring that users have more control over their purchases while maintaining their privacy.
