Lockie Ferguson Injury: Punjab Kings are set to face Kolkata Knight Riders today, but the team has received a major setback ahead of the match. Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to an injury.

Ferguson sustained the injury near his left hip during the match against Hyderabad. After being examined by the physio, he left the field mid-match and did not return.

Bowling coach James Hopes stated that Ferguson will be out for an extended period, and there is little hope for his return.

Punjab Kings purchased him for ₹2 crore. He is one of the fastest bowlers in IPL, having bowled at a speed of 157.3 km/h. In IPL 2025, he has played 4 matches so far and taken 5 wickets.
