Sharda University Launches Executive MBA Program for Working Professionals

Sharda University, a higher education institution in Greater Noida, has launched an Executive MBA curriculum for working people. Applicants must have a minimum of two years of work experience.

The program lasts two years and is divided into four semesters. FE Education spoke with Jayanthi Ranjan, head of Sharda School of Business Studies. “A distinguishing feature of this program is its adaptability, which is highlighted in the second year of study.” Students can choose from a variety of specializations during this time, including Marketing and Sales Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, International Business, and others. “The program’s teaching methodology takes a hybrid approach, with in-person classes held on weekends,” she explained.

The Executive MBA program’s 50% attendance requirement, in contrast to the university’s conventional programs’ 75% attendance requirement, enables working people to reconcile their professional and academic obligations. Students must have at least two years of work experience following graduation or hold a degree equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum GPA of 50% to be eligible for the curriculum.

According to Ranjan, “The program fees amount to Rs 1.5 lakh for a term of two years, equating to Rs 75,000 per year, comprising two semesters. The admissions portal will be active through the end of this month (August), and the institution hopes to recruit a sizable number of students for its initial intake. According to the institution, its training and placement department will be in charge of placing students in businesses across a variety of industries, including FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), logistics, retail, telecom, and healthcare. “Through our program, we strive to improve the job prospects of every one of our students by offering thorough 100% placement help. Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, EY, HDFC, ICICI, Bank of America, Kotak Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Yamaha Motors, and GMR are a few businesses that offer placement chances, she continued.
