Saudi Crown Prince gives ‘solution’ to Israel-Hamas war

The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, has proposed a solution to the Israel-Hamas conflict, emphasizing the need for a serious and comprehensive peace process. During a virtual summit of the BRICS group, he called for the establishment of a Palestinian state along the borders determined in 1967, stating that there is no alternative for achieving security and stability in Palestine except through the implementation of international decisions related to the two-state solution. The prince’s comments come in the wake of Hamas’ actions in Israel and the subsequent Gaza bombardment by Tel Aviv.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also advocated for a ceasefire and lasting peace, asserting that the fundamental solution to the ongoing conflicts lies in implementing the two-state solution, restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation, and establishing an independent State of Palestine.

Saudi Arabia had previously held the ‘Israeli occupation’ responsible for ‘crimes’ against Palestinians, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and expressing unequivocal rejection of continued Israeli aggression and forced displacement of residents. The prince criticized the international community’s silence on violations against Palestinian civilians, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts among Arab and Islamic states to address the humanitarian crisis and lift the siege on Gaza. The prince reiterated the Kingdom’s tireless efforts to stop the war and stressed the importance of establishing a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
