On April 14, two gunmen on motorcycles fired shots outside Salman Khan’s home in Mumbai. It later emerged that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang had another plan to kill Khan near his farmhouse in Panvel, Maharashtra. According to a recent NDTV report, a new chargesheet has been filed against five suspects accused of plotting Khan’s assassination. The Navi Mumbai Police have charged them with conspiracy to commit murder and other serious crimes.
The chargesheet reveals shocking details: the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly offered ₹25 lakh to kill Salman Khan, planning the attack from August 2023 to April 2024. Police investigations also uncovered plans by the gang to procure advanced firearms from Pakistan, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and a Turkish-made Zigana pistol. This same type of pistol was used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, 2022.
The chargesheet further alleges that 60 to 70 individuals were assigned to monitor Khan’s movements at his Mumbai residence, Panvel farmhouse, and Goregaon Film City where he filmed. Shockingly, minors were reportedly recruited to carry out the assassination under the command of Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, leaders of the gang believed to be in North America.
