Rinku joined the Knight Riders in 2018 for a basic fee of Rs 50 lakh and has remained with them since then. In his first few seasons, he did not get enough playing time. However, since 2023, he has increased in prominence. He became one of KKR’s top finishers, capable of leading them to victory even in challenging situations. Rinku demonstrated the ability to maintain his cool under stress.
In the 2023 IPL, Rinku made a significant impact with his 474 runs, an average of 59.25, and a strike-rate of 149.52. He helped KKR win against Gujarat Titans by hitting Yash Dayal for five sixes in a row.
Rinku made his debut on the tour of Ireland, but missed out on a spot in the Indian squad for the Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year. He has also been effective for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. Despite not having the best season for KKR, Rinku has held onto his spot in the team.
