Raj Kundra Breaks Silence After ED Raids

Raj Kundra, the businessman, has now released a statement following the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) raid on his homes in relation to the pornographic case. Raj clarified that he is working with the investigating authorities in a letter posted on his Instagram stories late Friday night. Additionally, he cautioned everyone against bringing up his wife, Shilpa Shetty, in the case.

“To whom it may concern, While the media seems to have a flair for drama, let’s set the record straight: I’m fully complying with the ongoing investigation that has been unfolding for the last four years. As for the claims of ‘associates’, ‘pornographic’ and ‘money laundering’, let’s just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth, in the end, justice will prevail!” he wrote.

“It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries…!!!” Raj added.

Shilpa Shetty’s counsel, Advocate Prashant Patil, released a statement on Friday afternoon, rejecting claims linking her to the probe. “According to media sources, the Enforcement Directorate raided my client, Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra. These reports are untrue and deceptive. As per my directions, there will be no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra because she is not involved in any criminal activity,” the statement added.

“However, the case in question is an ongoing investigation regarding Mr Raj Kundra and he is cooperating with the investigation for truth to come out. Would request the electronic and print media to refrain from using the videos, pictures and name of Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with the case. Strict cognisance shall be taken against irresponsible journalism wherein the pictures or videos of Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra are shared on this matter,” Shilpa’s lawyer added.

For the unversed, Raj Kundra has been accused of allegedly distributing pornographic content via mobile applications and other platforms. He was also arrested in July 2021 in connection to the case but was later granted bail.
