Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused a 21-year-old DJ named Luiza Rozova of being an ‘illegitimate’ daughter. Rozova, who works in Paris, is known by her patronymic name Vladimirovna, which means daughter of Oleg Rudnov, a close ally and confidant of Putin. Rozova’s mother, Svetlana Krivonogikh, is a multi-millionaire who owns multiple houses in Monte Carlo, a yacht, and is a board member of Bank Rossiya, a bank used by elites to move money around.
Leaked Pandora Papers revealed how Krivonogikh gradually became rich after 2000 when Putin became Russia’s president. Proekt, an independent investigative news organization, mentions that Krivonogikh and Putin developed a friendship when he was St Petersburg’s mayor and was married to Lyudmila Shkrebneva, with whom he has two legitimate daughters.
Rozova had social media accounts where she posted photos of herself, posing, and dancing. However, she deleted her accounts in 2022, shortly after Putin announced the invasion of Ukraine. According to her birth certificate, she does not have a father’s name but her patronymic name is mentioned as Vladimirovna. Rozova denied any connection to Vladimir Vladimirovich and stated that her life was stagnant and grateful for the chance to be in the limelight.
