President Droupadi Murmu stressed the significance of education to members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG), particularly women, on Monday.
Murmu also asked PVTG members from Jenu Kuruba and Koraga villages to take benefit of different government programs during an engagement with them at Raj Bhavan here.
“The President emphasized the critical importance of education for the PVTG community, especially for women.”
“She encouraged them to take advantage of various initiatives, including the Tribal Women Empowerment Scheme,” the Raj Bhavan said in a statement.
Murmu expressed her delight at meeting the first woman from her clan in Karnataka to earn her doctorate.
The President, who is the first tribal member to serve as the country’s head of state, envisions a future in which everyone has access to advanced education and actively contributes to society.
The President emphasised the importance of education and urged PVTG members to promote this fundamental right, according to the statement. Other dignitaries in attendance included Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Minister B Nagendra, Principal Secretary Manivanan, and others.
