The dead toll from the landslides has surpassed 400, and rescue efforts are still underway. On July 30, three landslides struck Wayanad, Kerala, affecting numerous villages.
Over the past few weeks, stars and celebrities have made significant donations to support those devastated by the floods and landslides. Their financial assistance will aid in the reconstruction of people’s lives who had lost their property.
Chiyaan Vikram was one of the first celebrities to donate to the Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund. He contributed Rs 20 lakh to the people who were affected. Suriya, Jyotika and Karthi collectively donated Rs 50 lakh to the victims affected in the landslides in Wayanad.
Rashmika Mandanna expressed her sadness at seeing the tragedy and contributed Rs 10 lakh.
Malayalam actors Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil and Mohanlal have made their contributions and also appealed to the people to make donations and volunteer to help the needy.
