Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hosted a high-profile roundtable discussion with top American technology CEOs, focused on innovation, cooperation, and India’s expanding IT sector. The meeting took place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel as part of PM Modi’s three-day tour to the United States, which included a stop in New York.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering hosted the roundtable, which featured executives from organizations specializing in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, and Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe, all attended the discussion.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Modi said, “Had a fruitful roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussing aspects relating to technology, innovation, and more. Also highlighted the strides made by India in this field. I am glad to see immense optimism towards India.”

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) held a roundtable with CEOs from cutting-edge sectors such as AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, and semiconductor technologies. The CEOs discussed how these technologies are contributing to global well-being and how they can revolutionize the global economy and human development.
PM Modi emphasized India’s policy of promoting ‘AI for All’, backed by ethical and responsible use. PM Modi also reassured CEOs about India’s commitment to protecting intellectual property and fostering a conducive environment for technology-led innovation.
He encouraged business leaders to capitalize on India’s growth trajectory and explore opportunities to invest in India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem. MIT Professor Anantha Chandrakasan thanked PM Modi and the CEOs for their contributions and affirmed MIT’s commitment to using technology for global good and advancing collaboration between the US and India in critical technology sectors.
