Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate nine Vande Bharat trains, establishing crucial connections to religious and tourist destinations across 11 states.
These newly launched Vande Bharat trains will enhance connectivity across the following 11 states: Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat.
The Prime Minister will officiate the inauguration of these trains via video conferencing.
The new express trains will operate along the following routes:
- Udaipur – Jaipur
- Tirunelveli – Madurai – Chennai
- Hyderabad – Bengaluru
- Vijayawada – Chennai (via Renigunta)
- Patna – Howrah
- Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram
- Rourkela – Bhubaneswar – Puri
- Ranchi – Howrah
- Jamnagar – Ahmedabad
These trains signify a significant step toward realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of enhancing connectivity throughout the country and providing world-class facilities to rail passengers, as per an official statement.
The Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest means of transportation along their respective routes, leading to substantial time savings for passengers. Compared to the current fastest trains on these routes, the Vande Bharat trains will reduce travel times significantly:
- Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram: Approx. 3 hours saved
- Hyderabad-Bengaluru: Over 2.5 hours saved
- Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai: Over 2 hours saved
- Ranchi-Howrah, Patna-Howrah, and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad: Nearly 1 hour saved
- Udaipur-Jaipur: Approximately 30 minutes saved
The Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai trains will connect important religious centers, including Puri and Madurai. The Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express, operating via the Renigunta route, will provide connectivity to the Tirupati pilgrimage center.
These newly introduced Vande Bharat trains will set a new benchmark for rail services in the country. Equipped with world-class amenities and advanced safety features, including Kavach technology, these trains aim to provide modern, speedy, and comfortable travel options for the general public, professionals, businessmen, students, and tourists alike
