PM Modi Says India Ready To Provide All Help During Bilateral With Putin

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kazan, Russia, on Tuesday for a two-day visit to attend the 16th BRICS Summit, where he is expected to meet bilaterally with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders.

The BRICS Summit 2024, themed ‘Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,’ will take place over two days and feature discussions by world leaders on key global issues.

PM Modi emphasized the relationship between Moscow and New Delhi ahead of his planned trip to Kazan, stating that his second trip to Russia this year for the BRICS Summit will strengthen the two nations’ Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.

Originally consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (added in 2010), the grouping this year expanded to include Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates, further advancing its inclusivity and global agenda. With 41% of the world’s population and 24% of its GDP, it’s a significant grouping that brings together the world’s major emerging economies.
