PM Modi Pushes for Peace in Poland—Top Quotes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a warm welcome by the Indian diaspora in Warsaw on the first day of his visit to Poland. During his address to the Indian community in Poland, PM Modi highlighted that India wants lasting peace in the region and highlighted the advancements India made in the last decade while interacting with Indians residing in Poland.

PM Modi, who visited Poland on Wednesday and became the first Prime Minister to do so in 45 years, while addressing the Indian community thanked everyone and expressed his gratitude for the incredible scenes and said, “This scenery is wonderful and your enthusiasm…you people gave me a grand welcome here and I am very grateful to all of you for this…”

  • “From the past one week, a lot is being discussed in media about Poland and its people. It is also being said that this is the first time in 45 years when an Indian PM has visited Poland,” said PM Modi, adding, “Few months back I went to Austria and an Indian PM visited there after 4 decades. It was India’s policy for decades to maintain same distance with every nation, but now the policy is to maintain closeness with every nation. Today’s India wants to connect with everybody.”

  • “India wants to move ahead in coming years. We are also planning to establish our own space station…and the day is very near when Indian astronauts will visit space in Made in India Gaganyaan,” he added.
