Wagh Bakri Tea Group executive Parag Desai was a businessman. He passed away on Sunday, a few days after he was bitten by stray dogs outside his home. He was 49.
According to Ahmedabad Mirror, Desai was attacked by street dogs on October 15 and sustained serious injuries while attempting to defend himself.
His family was informed about the event by a security officer outside his home, and he was then taken to Shelby Hospital.
Desai was moved to Zydus Hospital for surgery following a day of observation at Shelby Hospital.
But on Sunday, during the course of the treatment, he passed away from a cerebral haemorrhage.
In a social media post, Gujarat Congress chief and Rajya Sabha member Shaktisinh Gohil expressed his condolences on Desai’s passing.
“Very sad news coming in. Parag Desai, Director and owner Wagh Bakri Tea passed away. He had a brain haemorrhage following a fall. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Wagh Bakri family across India,” he wrote.
