In preparation for their upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens Stadium, the Pakistan cricket team, led by Babar Azam, indulged their taste buds with a delightful feast. They ordered biryani, kebabs, and chap from Kolkata’s renowned Zam Zam Restaurant.
Instead of having dinner at their team hotel, the ‘Men in Green’ decided to savor the flavors of Kolkata’s famous biryani. The team placed their food order on Sunday through an online food delivery app.
Shadman Faize, the Director of Zam Zam Restaurant, revealed, “The order came through an online food delivery platform. They ordered three dishes, which were biryani, kebabs, and chap. They placed the order on Sunday evening after 7 PM. Initially, we had no idea that the order was from the Pakistan cricket team, but later we got to know it. I hope they liked the food. People from every nationality should come and try our food. Kolkata has its own style of biryani, which is very famous all over the world.”
However, despite enjoying the delectable cuisine, the Pakistan team’s dietary choices have faced criticism from iconic pacer and former skipper Wasim Akram. Currently, the Pakistan team occupies the seventh position on the points table, with four losses and two wins, virtually ruling them out of further progress in the World Cup.
