After the elections were announced and the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) went into effect, political parties and candidates submitted an astounding 73,379 requests for approval on the Suvidha platform in just 20 days. Of them, 44,626 petitions (or 60%) were granted. 15, percent of the total number of requests received—roughly 11,200—had been denied, and 10,819 applications had been terminated for being invalid or duplicate. According on the information accessible to April 7, 2024, the remaining applications are being processed.
Maximum requests were received from Tamil Nadu (23,239) followed by West Bengal (11,976) and Madhya Pradesh (10,636). Minimum requests received from Chandigarh (17), Lakshadweep (18) and Manipur (20). State wise applications received are placed at Annexure A.
