Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Experience Amid Israel Conflict

Nushrratt Bharuccha, the Bollywood actress who was stranded in Israel during the conflict between Israel and Palestinian terrorist groups, has finally returned to Mumbai and shared her heartfelt experience. She described the past week as a rollercoaster of emotions, with the final 36 hours being the most unforgettable and daunting of her life.

Nushrratt Bharuccha’s journey began when she, along with her producer and stylist, arrived in Haifa, Israel, on October 3 to attend the Haifa International Film Festival for the screening of their film “Akelli.” After exploring historic sites in Israel, they were about to conclude their trip with a celebratory dinner on October 6.

However, the situation took a terrifying turn when they were woken up by the sound of bombs, sirens blaring, and complete panic. Israel was under attack, and their plans to return home were disrupted.

The actress and her team attempted to reach the Indian Embassy, located just 2 km away from their hotel, but the situation was extremely dangerous with Hamas militants on the streets. They were rushed to a basement shelter and heard a second siren go off.

As it became apparent that they might not make it to their scheduled flight back to India, they began making desperate calls for help. The Indian and Israeli embassies provided guidance and support, and they were eventually able to return home safely.

Nushrratt expressed her immense gratitude for the safety and security she enjoys, and she thanked the Government of India, the Indian Embassy, and the Israeli Embassy for their assistance. She also thanked her well-wishers for their wishes and prayers for her safety.

The conflict between Hamas and Israel had escalated into a full-scale war during her stay in Israel, resulting in casualties and injuries.

On the film front, Nushrratt Bharuccha recently appeared in the movie “Akelli,” which tells the story of a girl caught in war-torn Iraq, struggling to return home amid chaos—a situation that ironically paralleled her own life during her time in Israel.

She is set to feature in the horror film “Chhorii 2,” a sequel to the 2021 release “Chhorii.”
