NTA Releases CUET UG Answer Key: Details Inside

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys, question papers, and scanned images of OMR sheets for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) (UG) – 2024.

Candidates can make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per answer challenged, within a specified period. Candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged.

The NTA conducted the CUET (UG) – 2024 Examination in Hybrid mode (CBT and Pen & Paper) Mode on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29, 2024 at various examination centres located in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India, for about 13.48 lacs candidates. To facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet shall be sent to the registered e-mail address given by the candidates at the time of submission of the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) – 2024.

Candidates can make the payment of the processing fee through a debit card/credit card/net banking up to July 9, 2024, (up to 6 pm). Challenges will not be accepted through any other medium. Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly.

Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalised by the Experts after the challenge will be final. No challenge will be accepted after July 9, 2024 (up to 5 pm).

Challenges accepted against any Answer Key will be applicable to all candidates who would have attempted the corresponding question. In case, candidates are not able to view your OMR/Recorded responses they can e-mail their grievances to rescuetug@nta.ac.in with their application number, name, subject code and subject name. The last date for emailing grievances is July 9, 5 pm.

The NTA is also addressing the public grievances received regarding the Exam conducted for CUET (UG) – 2024 and received up to 30 June 2024. If the grievance is genuine, the NTA is committed to redoing the exam for candidates at selected centres any day between 15 to 19 July 2024. The Admit Card will be issued to the candidates. All such candidates will take the Exam in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode only.

Here are the steps to challenge the answer key:

1. Visit https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/

2. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth enter your Security PIN as displayed and submit.

3. Select the ‘OMR Challenge’ in the left pane.

4. Click on the OMR Challenge Link.

5. You will see the question numbers of the subject for which you want to challenge the OMR Grading.

6. Select the questions for which you wish to challenge the recorded response.

7. The number next to the question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the candidates in the OMR answer sheets.

8. Once the candidate selects any question for challenge, he/she will see three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’.

 9. If the candidate wants to challenge this option, he/she may use the options given in the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ column.

10. After clicking your desired option, for your Subject for CUET (UG) – 2024, candidates can scroll down, ‘Submit’, and move to the next screen.

11. They will see a screen displaying their challenges.

12. Click on ‘Submit’ and pay the fees.

13. Select mode of payment and pay a processing fee Rs200 for each question.

14. After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.
