The process for registering for NEET UG 2024 has begun on the new NTA NEET website, neet.ntaonline.in. This year, modifications have been made to exam centers, curriculum, and more.
Regarding examination venues, it has been agreed that NEET UG 2024 would not be held outside of India. Candidates interested in enrolling for the exam can do so at one of 544 centers around the country.
Understand Exam Pattern:
There will be four subjects, each consisting of two portions. Section A will contain 35 questions, while section B will have 15 questions. Candidates can attempt any 10 of the 15 questions in section B.
According to the information bulletin published by the NTA, to rationalise the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various School Education Boards, the NTA decided to provide choice in Section “B” for each of the 4 subjects.

Each question carries 4 marks and will be of the multiple choice question format. Candidates will lose 1 mark for every incorrect answer in section A and section B.
The NEET UG 2024 exam would be pen and paper based, with a length of three hours and twenty minutes.
Syllabus:
The National Medical Commission (NMC) announced that the NEET UG 2024 syllabus has been modified compared to the previous year. Topics that are not taught in any school board or available in the most recent NCERT book have been removed, according to reports.
On questions arising as to why topics were deleted, NTA informed that due to the COVID-19 scenario, various school boards deleted portions of each subject’s syllabus. The deleted portions were still not being taken back by these boards and the deletions were not uniform across various boards. Hence, several requests were received by the NTA for the revision of the syllabus.
