NEET UG 2024: NTA Releases Top 100 Rankers List, Details Inside

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 4, 2024, released the results for NEET UG-2024. Students who appeared for the exam can check and download their scorecards from the website – exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

The NTA has provided All India Rank (AIR) to the candidates and the admitting authorities will draw a merit list based on rank for the seats of MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction. When candidates apply to their state, they will mention their category as per the state category list. State counselling authorities will accordingly make their merit list. The same is the case with the domicile. The NTA has no role in it.

Here is the category-wise number of candidates qualified, based on the qualifying criteria of NEET UG-2023 and 2024.

Here is the list of the top 100 candidates who have topped the NEET UG- 2024 exam.

There are as many as 67 students who have scored AIR 1 with a total percentile of 99.997129. There are 20 female toppers among the 100 top rankers. There are around 10 students from the general category who have scored 720 out of 720 marks and out of them only two are female. Around 10 students belong to the OBC category who have scored 99.997129 percentile and only two are female.

This year around 24,06,079 candidates registered for the NEET UG 2024 exam out of which 23,33,297 students appeared for the exam, and 72,782 students did not appear for the exam.

Here is the category-wise distribution of registered candidates over the years.

Around 13,76,831 female candidates have registered for the exam in 2024, witnessing an increase of 17.84% compared to the total female registrations in 2023. Likewise, registration in the third gender category also increased in 2024. 18 third gender category students appeared for the exam, there were 13 in 2023.

The NEET UG-2024 result may be utilised by other entities of central and state governments, by their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data will also be utilised for BSc (H) Nursing courses by their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules.

The NEET UG-2024 data will also be used for admissions to BVSc and AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognised veterinary colleges. The All-India Ayush Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) shall be the counselling authority for AIQ for BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses under NCISM. The AACCC shall also be the counselling authority for AIQ with respect to BHMS under NCH.

The NTA conducted the NEET UG-2024 for more than 24 lakh candidates at 4,750 different centres located in 571 cities throughout the country including 14 cities outside India on 05 May 2024. The examination was conducted in 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).

The examination was also conducted in 14 cities outside the country Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait City, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Singapore.
