Miss Universe 2024: Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig won the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico. The 21-year-old battled against 125 other candidates from across the world, including India’s Rhea Singha. Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria was the first runner-up, and Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico came in second.
Victoria is a Danish entrepreneur and professional dancer. The 21-year-old made history as the first Danish Miss Universe. Victoria was born in 2004 in Søborg, Gribskov, in Denmark’s Capital Region. She grew up in the peaceful suburb of Copenhagen. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing.
Victoria has won several awards as a professional dancer and now wants to practice law. She also works as a beauty entrepreneur, frequently supports animal rights causes, and pushes for mental health care.
Miss Denmark, the nation’s most prominent national beauty pageant, marked the beginning of her beauty pageant career. When she placed in the Top 20 of Miss Grand International in 2022, she became well-known around the world. Victoria, who was dubbed the “Human Barbie” due to her remarkable likeness to the famous doll, quickly won over fans and made an impression on judges and spectators everywhere. Victoria won the title of Miss Universe Denmark 2024 in September of that year.
Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer, who received the new Miss Universe crown Lumière de l’Infini from Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, won hearts with her winning answer. When asked about the most essential quality a Miss Universe should possess, Victoria replied, “A Miss Universe must be a symbol of empathy and action. She must listen to the world’s challenges and use her platform to create tangible change. This means advocating for the voiceless, whether they are animals or people who need a champion.”
