A theatrical film based on the popular and award-winning crime thriller OTT franchise is being announced for the first time by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, extending the classic world of Mirzapur and bolstered by the incredible performance of Mirzapur Season 3.
As their beloved program prepares to make a huge jump to the big screen, fans can expect a colossal theatrical spectacle. Their treat is in store.
The 2026 release of the Mirzapur movie, which was created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, will include the show’s well-known characters, Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), in addition to Abhishek Banerjee, who portrays the Compounder in the series.
Eight weeks after its national theatrical premiere, Prime members in India and more than 240 other countries and territories will be able to access the movie.
Mirzapur Season 3 released in July this year and was widely discussed but die-hard fans of the series missed Munna Bhai played by Divyendu.
