Global Health Limited (Medanta), one of India’s premier private multi-speciality tertiary care providers, and DLF Group, a leading real estate developer, announced a partnership on Thursday to open a 400-bed multi-super specialty hospital. A new business would be formed to carry out their planned project in Delhi’s Greater Kailash I, with both organisations holding equal participation.
According to the news statement, DLF will be a strategic investor in the project, while Medanta will be in charge of operations.
“The super speciality hospital will offer cutting-edge medical and surgical interventions in more than 20 super specialties, including Cardiac Sciences, Neurosciences, Orthopaedics, Kidney, Liver, Lung, and Heart Transplants, Gastroenterology, and Chest Surgery.” The hospital will also have a Comprehensive Cancer Care center, which will provide comprehensive oncology treatments under one roof.”
“The best of Medanta’s renowned clinical expertise and patient care will be brought closer to the people of Delhi by our new hospital.” It will provide cutting-edge surgical treatments across specialisations under one roof while maintaining the same patient quality and safety standards for which Medanta has become known. It will also serve as a one-stop shop for all forms of cancer therapies, benefiting a huge number of patients not only in Delhi but also in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other bordering states, according to Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Global Health Limited.
Dr. Naresh Trehan, a well-known cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon in India, founded Medanta.
