Manipur Police Detains 657 Individuals for Violations in Extensive Operations

The Manipur Police has been conducting extensive operations to maintain law and order in various districts of the state. In their efforts to ensure the safety and security of citizens, the police force has detained 657 individuals in connection with reported violations. Along with Central forces, they have also set up 129 Nakas/Checkpoints in both hill and valley regions. Additionally, strict security measures have been implemented to safeguard the smooth movement of essential goods and vehicles.

Detentions and Operations

The Manipur Police has taken rigorous actions against those involved in violations across the state. A total of 657 individuals have been detained in connection with various reported violations in different districts. The police have intensified their efforts to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the public.

Search Operations and Recoveries

In conjunction with Central forces, the state police has been conducting search operations in vulnerable and fringe areas of both valley and hill districts. During one such operation in Imphal East District, the police successfully recovered two firearms and five ammunitions, contributing to enhancing security in the region.

Safe Passage for Essential Goods

Amid ongoing challenges and disruptions, the authorities have prioritized the smooth movement of essential items. A total of 468 vehicles carrying essential goods were provided with safe passage along NH-37, and an additional 138 vehicles were permitted to travel on NH-2. These measures aim to ensure the unhindered supply of essential items to the citizens.

Security Measures in Vulnerable Locations

In response to potential security concerns, strict security measures have been implemented in all vulnerable locations. Security convoys are being provided in sensitive stretches to safeguard the free and safe movement of vehicles, thereby minimizing potential risks and ensuring the overall security of the region.
