Apple is reportedly preparing major upgrades for both hardware and software, with iOS 19 set to debut alongside the iPhone 17 lineup. A new video by Front Page Tech reveals concept renders of iOS 19, said to be based on leaked internal footage. The update is expected to feature a sleeker design inspired by Vision OS, with translucent UI elements and subtle lighting effects. A revamped Camera app may include floating buttons, while the Lock Screen's shortcuts could shimmer with movement.
iOS 19 is also said to introduce rounder app icons that animate into view and a pill-shaped tab bar across native apps like Music and Messages. The Search tab may include a new circular button to restore the full tab bar. Other refinements include softer corners in menus, new animations, and redesigned permission prompts. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman cautions that these visuals might not represent the final version. iOS 19's developer beta is expected after Apple’s WWDC keynote on June 9, with a public release likely in September.
