Union Home Minister Amit Shah Launches ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ in Delhi

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, launched the Amrit Kalash Yatra under the ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ campaign in New Delhi. The event took place during India’s 75-year independence celebrations, with the upcoming Amritkal and “Sankalp Se Siddhi” aiming to put India at the forefront globally by August 15, 2047.

Shah emphasized that India’s achievements are not sufficient, and that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every Indian has been given the opportunity to help create a greater India. The program aims to connect every individual, family, citizen, and child emotionally with the idea of creating a great India.

From September 1-30th, every household, ward, and village will collect ‘Mitti’ or grains in a pot, which will be sent to New Delhi. Prime Minister Modi has integrated several programmes into the initiative, including inscriptions in every village, pledges of ‘Panch Pran’, 75 tree plantings, and hoisting the national flag.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, over 2 lakh programmes during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav have awakened the spirit of patriotism in the nation. The programme, Meri Mati-Mera Desh, aims to remove the mentality of slavery, be proud of traditions, dedicate life to unity and integrity, and awaken a sense of duty in every citizen.

The initiative has resulted in 23 crore houses, offices, and buildings across the country beautifying with the Tricolour. The campaign has also led to the Chandrayaan reaching the Shivshakti point on the Moon, a proud moment for all citizens. The Home Minister stressed the importance of connecting every person with the future of the country and connecting their feelings with the progress of the country.

The programme serves as an inspiration for brave soldiers, scientists, and ISRO scientists to achieve their goals. Union Minister of State for Culture Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal highlighted the importance of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign” in celebrating India’s history, culture, and sacrifices.
