The first image of an asteroid belt outside our solar system has been released

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope got the first infrared image of an asteroid belt outside our solar system. Webb found that there are three belts surrounding the star of Fomalhaut, including two previously unseen inner bands. The three layered belts reach out to 23 billion kilometers from the star, which is 150 times the distance between Earth and the Sun.
