The Government Senior Secondary School – Saloh in Una district’s Haroli assembly sector will be transformed into Himachal Pradesh’s first smart school, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said on Wednesday.
Agnihotri stated during a school assembly that the school will include smart classrooms, an e-library, and other facilities.
Sports facilities will also be built to allow for the organizing of state-level events in the near future. He stated that the government will resume the Sur-Tarang initiative in order to foster and create a platform for hidden talents.
Agnihotri also pledged to resurrect the Haroli festival.
Development, welfare, and service to the poor are the top priorities of the government, Agnihotri said.
The development of infrastructure and basic facilities in all educational institutions of Haroli assembly will be prioritized. Apart from starting new bus services in various areas of the segment for the convenience of schoolchildren, long-distance inter-state routes will also be started from Haroli, he added.
The deputy chief minister said the skill development center built at a cost of ₹26 crores would also be made functional.
Agnihotri had earlier instructed the Electricity Board and Public Works Department (Electrical Wing) personnel to finish the remaining electrification work as soon as possible while touring a new building of the Government Degree College in Khad. He also stated that courses will start there on January 1.
