Kill, featuring Lakshya and Raghav Juyal in major parts, is planned to premiere on OTT. Kill will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 6, 2024, two months after it was released in theaters. The streamer took to Instagram to share the news, along with a title motion video. However, the clip has no footage from the film and instead depicts a crimson scene as a figure of speech representing violence.
Raghav Juyal appeared in the film as a previously unseen villain. He stated, “From auditioning for Kill to filming it alongside Lakshya, my entire experience for the film has been enjoyable. I’ve always claimed that I’ve never shied away from hard labor. With Kill, I was able to show the world that I, too, can act, and portraying a terrible part is always a huge responsibility that demands a lot of conviction. Lakshya and I performed a lot of physical training together for this one, which really increased our friendship and bff-screen. The finest aspects of my character Fani in the film are his warped humor and sarcasm.
In a press statement shared by Disney Plus Hotstar, debutant Lakshya Lalwani said, “I am extremely grateful for the love I have received through this movie. For my character Amrit, I went through a very strict fitness regime. There were times I went beyond my limits to adapt to the role. Nikhil sir has truly been a guiding force throughout the process and I consider him to be my biggest mentor. After exploring the action genre I cannot wait to try on different roles! With the film now releasing on Disney+ Hotstar, I am looking forward to a larger audience to enjoy this deadly action and bloodshed.”
About the Film
Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023 and opened in theaters on July 5. The action-thriller, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain for Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 6.
