On Monday, MC Sudhakar, the minister of higher education for Karnataka, referred to the decision to execute state education policy as “historic.” In a post on X, MC Sudhakar stated, “Regarding the education policy, a historic decision was taken to implement the state education policy by participating in a meeting led by CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar in order to clear the confusion among students and parents from the previous National Education Policy & create a brighter future for the students.

After meeting with officials and delegates from various educational institutions on Monday in Bengaluru, Karnataka’s deputy chief minister, DK Shivakumar, stated earlier today that the state will create a new education policy that will replace the National Education Policy, 2020.
“Representatives from numerous educational institutions and other officials attended the meeting, where we had serious discussions concerning the education policy. The NEP 2020 will no longer be used, as stated in our manifesto, according to DK Shivakumar.
MC Sudhakar, the minister of higher education for Karnataka, stated earlier in June that although the Congress had widely aired its intention to abolish the National Education Policy (NEP), careful consideration of the policy’s benefits and drawbacks is required before making any rash choices.

It should be remembered that the NEP was introduced in July 2020 to offer a set of guiding principles for a paradigm shift throughout the Indian educational system from primary to post-graduate levels.
