Ahead of her upcoming wedding, Radhika Merchant celebrated her Mameru ceremony on Wednesday night. This Gujarati ritual involves the bride-to-be’s maternal uncles gifting her jewellery and clothes. The event took place at the Ambani residence in Mumbai.
Photos and videos from the ceremony are circulating widely online. Besides the Ambani family, Radhika’s friend Janhvi Kapoor and her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya were also seen at the event. Orry shared glimpses of the ceremony on his Instagram.
Radhika dazzled in a multicolored lehenga, complemented with statement jewellery and neatly braided hair. Her fiancé, Anant Ambani, wore a pyjama set in matching colors. The couple was seen aboard a chariot themed after a jungle, featuring statues of wild animals.
Other family members adorned shades of pink and tangerine. Janhvi Kapoor, attending with her boyfriend, also dressed in similar colors. Manushi Chhillar, known for her role in “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” wore an elegant tangerine saree.
In a viral video, Nita Ambani was seen welcoming guests by applying tilak on their foreheads. Mukesh Ambani, Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani with Shloka Mehta, and Anand Piramal were also present, posing for photographers. Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani graced the occasion as well.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to marry on July 12, with a grand sangeet ceremony planned for July 5 at the NMACC centre, accommodating around 2000 guests.
