The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) department has begun accepting applications for skill-based, short-term courses. On August 18, 2024, the registration period for these courses will end. To register for the classes, interested students can go to the official JMI website.
The courses are intended to give students real-world experience and expertise in a range of technical and vocational domains, therefore augmenting their employability and professional potential. Digital marketing, data science, AI and ML, Performance marketing, cyber security, tailoring and embroidery, ethical hacking, beautician training, audio and video editing, bakery training, and UI/UX design are among the courses offered.
The courses last between two and six months and are provided both online and offline. Most of the sessions will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The fees for the courses range between Rs 3,000 and Rs 8,000. The course fee for UI/UX Design is Rs 15,000.
The courses are offered to students who have finished class XII or its equivalent. Some courses may have additional prerequisites, such as a fundamental grasp of mathematics and programming for Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Ethical Hacking.
