The Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO) has extended the deadline for applying to the positions of Assistant and Junior Personal Assistant. ISRO’s Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), a major Scientific and Research Institute and Autonomous Unit under the Department of Space, Government of India, is searching for young, meritorious, energetic, and motivated applicants who meet the qualifying requirements for these positions.
As many as 10 vacancies are open for the post of Assistant and six vacancies for Junior Personal Assistant. The last date to apply for both posts has been deferred from March 31, 2024, to April 15. Click here to check the official notice.
Eligibility
Candidates who graduated with a degree and a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from any recognised university are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant. Candidates who are proficient in the use of computers will be desirable for selection.
Candidates who have graduated with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised university, with a pre-requisite condition that graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university can apply for the post of Junior Personal Assistant.
Remunerations
Candidates who get selected and will be appointed as ‘Assistant’ / ‘Junior Personal Assistant in Level 4 will receive remuneration between the pay scale of Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100 of the pay matrix. The candidate will be paid a minimum basic pay of Rs 25,500 per month. In addition, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing of Departmental Housing and Transport facilities, respectively.
On employment in PRL, other facilities are available such as medical facilities for self and dependents, canteen, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, etc as per Central Government/PRL Rules.
Application Fee
An application fee of Rs 100/- shall be charged. Initially, all applicants have to uniformly pay Rs 500/- as an application fee including candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS). However, candidates belonging to the fee exemption category (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) will be refunded the full application fee, if he/she attends the written test and UR/EWS/OBC candidates will be refunded Rs 400/ if he/she attends the written test. The Application fee will not be refunded to all those candidates, who fail to attend the written test.
Candidates are required to furnish the correct bank account details with the IFSC code to get a refund while filling online application. All fee-exempted categories except women are required to upload the relevant certificate (SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) to get a refund.
