Over the past few hours, there have been five air strikes on buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The last one was just a few minutes ago. We saw plumes of smoke and, in the background, a Middle Eastern Airlines plane about to land.

This shows how close the suburb of Dahiyeh is to the international airport in the capital.

We believe this to be another attempted assassination of Hezbollah members, but we have not received information from the group as of yet.

This is another reminder of the Israeli pattern of extensive air strikes regardless of what is happening in southern Lebanon.

Earlier today, there was another attack outside of Beirut’s suburbs, about a kilometre (0.6 miles) from the country’s parliament in the heart of the capital in a very densely populated area.

According to the Israeli authorities, they targeted a medical facility that was affiliated with Hezbollah, killing nine paramedics and injuring 14.

There was another attack 20km (12 miles) south of Beirut where Israel struck a communications tower belonging to Hezbollah’s TV.

What we are seeing now, in addition to what the Israeli media says is targeted hits on Hezbollah members, there are also attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure, medical facilities affiliated with the group, and television and media stations affiliated with the group.
