The Paris Olympics 2024 are nearing their conclusion, and just a few Indian competitors remain to boost and push India’s medal count. So far, India has won 6 medals at the Paris Olympics, including one silver and five bronze. Aman Sehrawat’s bronze medal triumph in the 57kg freestyle wrestling made him the youngest Indian Olympic medalist. India is closing in on its Tokyo medal record of seven, which was the most in a single event.
In women’s 76kg wrestling, Reetika Hooda represents India’s best chance of winning a seventh medal. Especially after the golfers had a lackluster round on Friday. In golf, Aditi Ashok ended Round 2 at 1-under par, rebounding from a slow start with a string of birdies. Diksha Dagar is also one under par overall. However, the top three began to distance themselves, necessitating amazing rounds from both Indians in order to remain competing.
