The 15-day all-inclusive tour package includes train journeys, accommodations, meals, transfers, sightseeing, travel insurance, and tour escort services.

The Ministry of Railways and IRCTC Ltd are collaborating on a “North East Discovery” tour to promote India’s unexplored North Eastern states. The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train will depart from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on November 16, 2023, and will cover Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat & Kaziranga in Assam, Unakoti, Agartala & Udaipur in Tripura, Dimapur & Kohima in Nagaland, and Shillong & Cherrapunji in Meghalaya.

The train features modern amenities, including dining cars, a contemporary kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washroom functions, foot massagers, and a mini library.

This train’s first stop is Guwahati, where visitors will see Kamakhya Temple, then proceed to Umananda Temple and a sunset sail on the Brahmaputra River. The entire trip lasts for 14 nights and 15 days. The next stop, Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, is 30 kilometres away from Naharlagun Railway Station, where this train will continue its midnight journey. Sivasagar, the former capital of the Ahom Kingdom in the eastern region of Assam, is the next city to be reached.

The itinerary includes the well-known Shiva temple Sivadol in addition to other historical locations like Talatal Ghar and Rang Ghar (the East’s Colosseum). Additionally, the Jorhat tea estates, an overnight stay in Kaziranga, and an early morning forest tour in Kaziranga National Park
